Carl Lange
Carl Lange is a short film based on Kjell Askildsens novella from the award winning collection Thomas F´s Last Notes to The Public.
Carl (Storengen) lives a comfortable life in solitude, until the policeman Osmundsen (Kjerstad) knocks on his door, accusing him of having raped an underaged girl. The short film is an intimate study of Carl’s loss of self as he faces a Kafkaesque struggle to prove his innocence to the authorities.
This intense and gripping short film was written for the screen and directed by Alexander Gudmestad, and played at a number of festivals in Europe and the US.
